Dr. McAdams was very professional. He explained everything in terms I could understand and was very thorough in his treatment
I appreciated his straightforward answers and congenial manner. I felt better about my issue after our discussion.
The visit was a followup to a previous visit. I wanted cortisone injections in my knees because I am going on a family trip to Ireland and I don’t want to slow the group down. I told him I thought I might have some ligament involvement in addition to the arthritis in my right knee. He did a quick diagnosis and ruled that out. Good to know. Overall, he was very helpful.
The medical assistant and receptionist were both warm and welcoming. Yet, from the beginning, Dr Toomey entered the exam room clearly upset that I had gotten another opinion from his colleague and seemed put off about that. I experienced from him reactivity and combativeness. When I pointed out that his opinion was different from one that I received from a different orthopedist, I felt dismissed and talked down to. Scott Hormel & Julie his assistant are always a pleasure to work with! I was in and out of my appointment in about 15 minutes, which was great! Looking forward to him giving me a knee replacement in December!
Dr McAdam is very good at explaining everything and taking questions with understandable answers. I felt very comfortable in his care.
