The vendors were great at the festival and there was a beautiful garden. Yes Parkin was an issue but you just need to come earlier than later. Overall a beautiful experience
I am glad I went the week before as it was disappointing with the festival. I called a friend and she said parking was a 2 hour wait. It would of been nice if there was better communication with signage or people directing traffic as many people including me, turned around. Lots of downtown business for Gainsville. Most of the shop owners didn't know about the festival. Next year maybe get bus shuttling, as a better game plan.
Awesome Memorial Day morning spent at festival. No long lines and the vendors were so friendly along with great food at the cafe.
We had a great time T the festival yesterday! We visited most all of the vendor booths and ate at the cafe. The animals were an unexpected treat for the our toddler. Loved strolling the grounds!
Sunday morning was a great time to visit. Got there early to beat the crowds, no issues with parking. Just enough vendors without being overwhelming. It is a small family owned farm and it's obvious with the garden areas they love their property!! Would love to come back for another visit during the season.
My friend and I arrived with her baby about 9;30 on Sat and in spite of the heat, had a great time. There was a bit of lavender to pick so we both came home with some sweet smells. One vendor had homemade lavender fudge that was quite a treat. We also had lavender lemonade and cheesecake. Delicious! Loved the gift shop but was very crowded so I didn't buy as much as I might have if I could of looked around. The folks working there were welcoming and helpful.
In order to restore good will with the thousands of people who turned around and the others who did not get to cut any lavender I suggests you sell tickets to your next festivals and do not have it on a holiday weekend.
