We arrived on the country road that leads to the farm at 10:45 am. We couldn't get in. Waited in an endless line of cars for 45 min., then followed the lead of MANY others, turned around and left. We heard that the wait was 2 hours, and there was no lavender left anyway. We drove to the square in Gainesville for lunch, and browsed a couple of shops. Re: Lavender Festival - was a lovely event. I don't think the staff foresaw that that there would be this much attention for the event. Give them grace - they're just lavender farmers. They're not trying to swindle anyone or misrepresent the event.
This is a beautiful place. We loved going and will be back again this year. Keep up the amazing work.
Wasted 3 hours driving for the lavender festival to find it it was another 2 hour wait to park. Terrible management and no communication to people who may have had to travel far distances to just turn around. Would not recommend.
We look forward to.this event every year. Something nice to get away from home. Love the icecream!!
We waited in line for two hours. Had to use the restroom and the ports-johns were VERY unclean. Several people posted their frustration on the event page and they deleted over 300 negative comments. Not a way to run a business. Lavender wasn't even in bloom.
I've been coming for years now and I will always come back! Lovely place.
