Had my power steering pump sent out for rebuild first week of October and told 3 weeks to get it back as of now it’s December second and I just keep getting told it’s not done yet would not recommend if you need anything back in a timely fashion
I own and operate a small diesel repair shop in NW Iowa. I have recently installed a New, not reman pump from Lares for a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 and found it to be 300 psi below failing specification for that application. I found out after speaking with Dan Jones, the companies technical rep, that the preset spec on that pump is 1,150 psi. The lowest passing grade on that pump from the factory is 1,450 psi, and that is verified information in the factory Mopar service manual. Recommendedso far so good been through 3 cardone junk boxes and finally decided to give lares a try install was perfect fit differently recommend to any one needing gear box
Power steering pump rebuild the staff at lares is over the top they take the time to talk to you about the repair they rebuild the power steering pump when we put the pump back on the car the worked awesome fast turnaround time
I ordered the box for my car from them from rock auto looked ok installed it it was grinding so I sent it back got a new one and they person who rebuilt the box left the bolts that hold the gear assembly to the box loose overall just bad craftsmanship
I bought a power steering pump and two months later it failed. It was still under warranty, but their website gives no information about claiming the warranty. Many e-mails and phone messages went unanswered. All in all, I would not recommend buying from this company.
