An old neighborhood just to the Southwest of Downtown St. Louis, Lafayette Square was once among the wealthiest and most fashionable of St. Louis' neighborhoods, its large villas drawing the wealthy out from the downtown center. My friend and I stopped by after a photo shoot in Lafayette Park and after hearing live music near by last night. It was apparently at the bed and breakfast next door. We sat outside on the gorgeous patio and enjoyed the $5 Margarita happy hour! My friend and I are young women and we had a tab for less than $12; but our waitress treated us with respect, which cannot be said for all servers. The food is authentic and terrific, service friendly like family and the owners are hilarious and make the evening memorable!
A great place to eat! The food was delicious and the staff is amazingly nice. I even forgot my phone there and they set it aside for me and charged it until I could get back to get it! I would recommend this place to eat to anyone in the area looking for good food, good atmosphere, and staff that goes above and beyond.
My grandpa always took me here as a kid. Chicken tacos and that Sopapilla desert is where its at! ;)
My fiancé and I ate here today and I have to say that this was the best Mexican food I have ever eaten!!! The service was excellent as well! I highly recommend eating here if you haven't!!
