I've seen him for almost 4 years. I need to lose a few pounds before getting my knees done but I'm very scared that something will go wrong and I'm on blood thinners for life so that's a worry too. He gives me cortisone shots twice a year but they're not working like they used to.
Dr. Maynard as replaced both of my knees over the last few years. Most recently 90 days ago. He and his team kept me informed, were uber careful as to the timing of the surgeries and provided realistic expectations. They made sure I knew a lot of my potential progress was up to my willingness to do the PT both before and after surgery. Happy to say after only 90 days I am back full force and pain free.
Dr Maynard did my husband’s surgery, replaced both knees. While is bedside manor is great, when we contacted him that there was shakes after 2nd surgery, knees giving out, etc. it was like he passed the buck. He wanted to send him to his “friend”, etc. we have never heard back from him, when we was calling they just pretty much blew us off. It feels like once insurance was paid it didn’t matter anymore. Dr. Maynard gave me my life back this summer. I am forever grateful for his patience and understanding and encouragement to me that I could accomplish what needed to be done in order for me to be able to walk again. I went to him after three other orthopedic surgeons rejected me after telling me I had bone on bone on both knees but my BMI was too high for the surgery that they couldn’t help me until I lost the weight. I would absolutely not recommend him to anyone. I left his office crying because he was so extremely rude and unprofessional. He said I wasn't honest with him about my medical history which I was but because of that he would not treat me. I then get on Ohio health my chart to see that he lied about the entire appointment stating that he explained to me in detail about my medical situation, which he did not. Dr. Maynard is, BY FAR, the best Orthopedic Surgeon EVER. He has replaced both of my hips and I couldn't be happier. He is very caring, honest and patient with my many questions and concerns. His assistant Staci is AWESOME, she went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help me with paperwork for my FMLA and Short Term Disability. I have been going to Dr. Maynard for about a year. On Nov 27th I had a Total Right Hip replacement. Throughout the entire process he was clear and concise about the procedure. He never seemed rushed and answered all my questions as well as my wife's. He is very easy to understand and I am very comfortable around him. I am 7 weeks out from TRHR and walking pain free and no limp. First time in about 3 years!
Dr maynard is a great surgeon, explains what he will do and what to expect during recovery after going home. He is very caring physician, and his assistant, Stacie, goes out of her way to help,
Last year had a knee replacement was not satisfied with Dr Maynard service never recovered now bout to have another one on same knee should had check hip also his assistant very nasty would not recommend no one to him... Good luck
