LANCASTER MEDICAL is an absolute JOKE. Stay away from this office in my opinion. I noticed that they somehow deleted a lot of negative reviews off Citysearch.
I LIKED THIS PLACE BUT AS OF FEB 2017 WITH OUT ANY REASON THEY SENT A CERTIFIED LETTER STATING THAT I AM NO LONGER A PATIENT THERE.. I EVEN CALLED TO TALK TO SOMEONE BUT NEVER RETURNED A CALL BACK AS TO WHY I WAS DROPPED... SO I WILL TELL YOU TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRACTICE SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PRACTICE THAT THE CASE MANAGER DOES TO PATIENTS. JACK D.
Very unprofessional office, treated poorly. Upon my arrival as a first time patient, I was told they do not accept my insurance. I questioned why I wasn't told when I scheduled the appointment 6 weeks ago and was told they just decided the day before. Would have been nice if someone informed me before I arrived. Horrible office help I have been a patient for about 6 years.I went in recently for a problem with my foot.I was sent next door to Windsong for an xray.I went home and called a few days later and was told it was arthritis.I was then given the names of 2 orthopedics to see.I then schedualed to see a doctor at ECMC.They told me to get the xray from Lancaster Medical.I wrote LM on my portal and asked that they send the xray to the doctor at ECMC and if that was not possible to please let me know.I never got The call so everythi... read more
Do not go to this practice. The people who work the phones are incredibly rude. I had was I was sure of a tonsil infection and called to see if there was anyone available to see me. After being thrown around to different people I was finally put on the line with a "nurse". She asked what the problem was and I explained "my tonsils are all white and gross looking, my glands are swollen, I had a fever but it has subsided " her response "oh so you just have a sore throat?" i kind of have to laugh reading all these reviews. every last person says the same thing. the same things happened to me as well. Terrible practice. The hold time to speak with a nurse is unbelievable. I care for my father (we both go here), I had to call for him last week on three occasions and waited over 25 minutes. I called today, again for him and was told there were no lines available. I then asked if there were any nurses to speak with but the receptionist only repeated herself. I'm glad I found this forum regarding the service provided at Lancaster Medical because having all this information is key if, or more like when, malpractice suits come knocking at their door. The Administrator has NO compassion or understanding of situations that patients face. I was a patient there for over ten years, anytime I called I was on hold forever or was transferred and then the phone would go dead! I saw Dr. Cleary only twice and the rest of the time it was always a PA. They seem to have a high turnover rate for their PA's as well. I recently called for a recommendation for a new GP office since I had moved and Lancaster Medical gave me the lame excuse that they didn't know what my insurance was so they couldn't help me.
