Dr. Jim Stephens gives the most pain free anesthetic shot I have ever experienced. He and his staff are intelligent, attentive, and kind. Your comfort and health are their greatest concern. The office atmosphere is one of calm competence combined with cheerful attitudes.

I've been going to Stephens Dentistry since moving back to Evanston in 2006 (missed one year, went to another dentist, won't make that mistake again). They are professional - their appointment process is convenient (call in, then get a reminder and confirmation online 2 days before, and they have great hours, early and late). Every hygenist I've had has truly been personable and competent (and I hate x-rays but they do them quickly and minimize my discomfort). The Stephens brothers, Dr. Bob and Dr. Jim, are great dentists. They're kind, competent, fun and on the cutting edge of the latest technology and research. Their hygienists are fantastic too--every one a winner. And so are other staff members. My husband and I feel like we're visiting family when we go there, and our dental care has never been better.

The front desk staff were courteous and helpful, the assistant to Dr. Bob was efficient, thorough, informative about all that was done, the equipment was very up-to-date, the hygienist careful and diligent, and last, but not least, Dr. Bob was professional, focused, clear about what he saw in the pictures and explained what needed to be done, involved me in the assessment, and I look forward to further such satisfactory service.

My first ever visit to Stephens Dentistry coincided with on of the coldest winters I've experienced, if not a record for Chicago. I walked the mile from my house, but it was worth it. The team were all very cheerful, competent, and accommodating. Especially when I had to dash out again to brave the elements and rush - as much as one can in snow and ice - to a meeting. It was as enjoyable as a trip to the dentist can be (and I mean that in the nicest possible way!)

I love this place, and the work they do. They can do things my coworkers dentists cannot. Very knowledgeable, very capable, up to date, and friendly. The best.
