We are paying so much for HOA dues but people can still come in.They should focus more on security than golf course as not everyone are golfers. Security should be enforce as many non residents can come in anytime they want, they should check ID's of every single guests like other gated community.

Just moved in/ When we found out we were moving to this area we made moving to a neighborhood that would be safe for our 22 year old autistic so to take evening walks with his service dog a top priority, right along with price, size and utility costs. Lake of the Woods fits the bill, I think we'll be very happy here.
I moved to lake of the woods a year ago. My family loves it here. Lake of woods has lots of playgrounds for kids . My toddlers love it.
Excellant in every way with the combination of a rural setting surrounding two beautifol contrasting Lakes. Grandma & Grandpa's perfect retirement home where Family gathers to celebrate Life with the grand kids and watch them grow up. The hope is that the Association maintains austerity in their planning and in their approach to projects keeping the community owners primary concerns to conserve and secure its most valuable resources, being the lales. HOA is ridiculous. Home price went down 30%. Three empty houses next to me. I want out, but can't.
I have lived here for three years now , I simply love it!! Occasionally, I just stop at the gate and have a good and pleasant talk with security!!! I feel really safe and secure!!!
LAKE OF THE WOODS is a geat place to live!!!
We love lake living!! We have owned 4 properties here over 33 years and we are VERY happy! Better than Northern VA!!
