Unfair, costly, poor decision making, arrogant, dishonest, does not understand priorities, does not care about the community, never works with the community to make important decisions... should I go on???
I do like living here and like all the people I have met. We have been here full time 2+ years. The big disappointment is not having a suitable place to keep my horse. When we bought here, I saw all the lovely ads that featured horses and I got a price list for boarding. I later learned that there is no reasonable place to keep a horse because there is no pasture. I could not be cruel enough to keep a horse in a dry lot as they are kept at the equestrian center. I have been looking for a place to board my horse and I continu... read more
Lake of the Woods is a great place to live. A well run Homeowners Association.
We just love living at Lake of the Woods!! Been here 2 years now and have met wonderful friends and neighbors! We feel like we live at a vacation resort! The lakes are beautiful and we love seeing swans, osprey, ducks and even the geese! Pickleball and kayaking are such fun here too. Wonderful Clubhouse and Fairways restaurants are so convenient. Best place around to live!!
So happy to live in a community with an exceptional security staff. Somehow I managed to drive into a ditch while backing out of my driveway yesterday morning....obviously not paying attention to what I was doing. I called Security and Chief Walker and Officer Harding responded quickly. Chief Walker's vehicle had a winch system which got me out of the ditch. If they had not responded I would have had to call AAA which might result in waiting an hour or more for help. Not only did they respond quickly. they made me feel bette... read more
