Lake Livingston State Park is one of our favorite parks to camp at. They have plenty of full hookup sites. We've been coming here since 1990. Ranger Joel is awesome...its nice to see they are having things for the kids to do and learn. Very happy to see canoe and kayak rentals. Sunsets over the lake are breathtaking! They have made a lot of improvements to the park.

Horrible park ranger/supervisor David Weeks was rude. We had an event there and rented the pavilion until 9pm, our event was over by 2pm and started rushing is out, telling us to hurry up and pack our things. Took pictures of the grounds before we had finished. He was awful!!!

Love this park. Only issue I see is with the large number of people that are swimming in the boat ramp area. it would be nice to see a park ranger or game warden in that area more often. Launched there the last 2 weekends and both times we had to ask people to move away from the boat ramps so we could launch our boat. Didn’t think swimming was allowed around the ramps but it’s starting to happen. Crazy thing is there is a nice swimming area setup but people are swimming around the docks and ramps.

Great shelters on the waterfront! Awesome swimming area and of course as with ALL TP&W State Parks, the rest rooms are always very clean. Stop in at the Marina/store and meet the friendly folks that run the place-all Park employees are Texas style friendly! I love this place!

This is the second visit to this park and enjoyed it so much we extended our stay both times. Caught fish from the shore, one being a 6 to 7 pound catfish. Don't worry we put him back so someone else could enjoy catching him too. Staff have been nice and helpful, we are booking another visit when we checkout on moth
