If you love Texas you will love this park
The park is so clean and beautifully kept.
Great campsites, red oak area is spread out nicely. Plenty of shade to help keep the heat away. The swim area has 3 ladder steps into the water. Need to bring noodles or some other floating device to float on since at entry the water is 6ft deep. Great trails for walking and biking. Facilities are good, since we are in a camper, we really didn’t use them.
Great time been going camping there every since I was a child. We rented 2 shelters my grand babies had a blast. Only thing was the lights at the marina are broken so you really can’t do any night fishing very disappointed. Please either fix the pool or turn it into a splash pad we are in Texas and the days are very hot would be nice to have a place to cool off.
Had a nice lunch at a shady picnic area mid-week and it was lovely with a few too many flies. Scoped out the campsites for future use (not sharing our top picks!)
beautiful park. all areas are clean including bathrooms. sweet helpful friendly people.
Had a blast kayaking at the state park on Saturday. Shout out to park employees Echo and Damian for getting our kayaks out and providing safety tips.
Love it
