Great place to relax
Really nice lake enjoyed our stay had A-blast cabins 7 8 and .9 should be exterminated before each guest arrives and the lighting should be brighter .didn't catch any fish though stay tangled up the whole time broke line after line but grate place to stay.
Nice trails and rv sites. Lots of birds.
Nice park. Friendly staff. Was a little trashier than other state parks ive been too, I guess because of lake and day use people leaving their beer cans and cigarette butts wherever. The campsights were spacious. Trails are basically wide paths through trees so not a lot of scenery. The boardwalk was super slick due to rain previous day. Would probably be wise to put a caution notice so people don’t fall. Quiet and relaxing. Lots of wildlife. Enjoyed our stay.
Love the park! Needs: showers at all areas, pest control in the shelters, daily garbage pick up. When we got ready to leave our stuff was full of fire ants. I have 11 bites!! Several fire ant hills that should be treated. Shelters cleaned after each group of people leave! The ramps at cabin 4 are ridiculous, should have alternative steps. Brighter lights in cabin.
I like fishing in this park. Very good territory and very helpful employees.
