While the ice cream here is so delicious that I'm willing to drive 40 minutes round trip to enjoy it, that's not the only reason I love Lake Effect. As a new parent, I have a huge appreciation for any business that makes it easy to bring my kid out with me. Seating is ample, the chairs are large enough to hold an infant carrier, and the restrooms are clean, spacious, and perfectly set up to accommodate an unexpected diaper change. They make it easy to keep coming back!
I love that it is operated by 3 hardworking local business men. It is clean, friendly, and always evolving. Their flavors are amazing and the quality is excellent. We are so lucky to live so close to this gem!

The ice cream is delicious, but they use partially hydrogenated oils and corn syrup. Both are GMO! Both are very bad for you in many ways.
