Same as others have said - he seems very disinterested with an “oh well” attitude. He barely explained anything about the OA in my thumb and just said I could do cortisone shot or surgery. I opted for the shot first and let me tell you, that is the first time I have ever openly screamed in a dr office from the pain, and he didn’t warn me or even say I’m sorry, just looked at me like I was crazy. I found Dr. Thornburg to be very professional, informed and personable. I would highly recommend him.
He always had a smile on his face but that was the only thing "pleasant" about him. He refused to do any scans to see what was going on with my flexor tendon repair, after the first surgery left me with very little range of motion and a spitting suture. Second surgery is not showing any more positive results than the first, as far as range of motion. He spent very little time with me at appointments and didn't seem to care about my concerns. Had an "oh well" attitude time and time again.
Dr Thornburg is an excellent surgeon he is very compassionate and cares about his patients he preformed arthroplasty surgery on me and I highly recommend him
Terrible experience with Dr. Thornburg. He spent literally about three minutes with my son and seemed irritated that I had questions. He was uncaring and condescending. I plan to go elsewhere to have my son's stitches taken out, and would not recommend him to anyone.

I initially vistied because of hand pain which had me in tears at times I met with him for maybe five minutes he told me it was nothing and let me go didn't tell me anything I could do for my hand or anything s
Did NOTHING for my tennis elbow. I paid $90 copay and he was in the room for every bit of 10 mins if that. Has no personality whatsoever and would not give me a steroid inj. Told me to have physical therapy. I told him I have been doing exercises at home for 5 mos with no relief and that is why I was there. At check out, the receptionist said he wanted to see me back in 4 wks. For what?? Wasted hard earned $ to basically tell me what I already knew I had, in 10 mins. I am so disgusted with him.
Basically told me if I don't need surgery to get out. Pain in shoulders, elbow, hand and wrist. Carpal tunnel symptoms - guy told me "nothing he can do for me but to come back if it gets worse"! They have injection specialist and physical therapy on site and he told me nothing he can do.... He was arrogant and condescending (ok, most doctors are but he was really bad!). I guess if you can't bring them and big bucks they aren't gonna waste their time helping you!!!
