The drinks and food are very good but the place lacks service. Our original waitress was ok...she went on break so we had another waitress, had to ask for stuff 2-3 times (napkins/chip n salsa/water). Our food took 45 to arrive which the majority were appetizers.
Their drinks are some of the best I have tried! They have some of the best original recipes. Their tamarind Margarita is to die for! Their churros are one of a kind and their complimentary salsa is spicy and tastes so fresh. Their outside hang out area is definitely one of my favorite spots. I love their fireplace and the fact that they always have a table available near the bar. Honestly, it's one of my favorite restaurants.

I've been here before but not for breakfast! When we got our food it was cold but we waited a long time so I just ate some of it. Even if it was hot it would have been just as it was horrible food! Will not be going back...
I gotta say, as a 2+ year patron of La Vida we go at least once a week if not more, but with your recent menu changes we will have to find a new favorite. Not only were your tacos underfilled and just not the same, but the fact that you took carne asada fries completely off the menu really sucks! It's that delicious steak that brings us back, and with your waitresses quoting a $16 price on that plate to "special order off menu" it just won't be happening anymore. The admosphere is great, awesome people awesome music. The service was excellent unfortunately the drink I got was not good at all had to change it for a different one and the Salmon salad came with no dressing so it felt as I was eating grass with salmon, and had no cheese like it said in the description and cost 18 dollars. Went for a birthday celebration and reserved table for 12 on patio. When group arrived it was raining quite hard so we asked for a table inside. They said they could not accommodate us inside. After it got quite uncomfortable outside someone in our party went inside and moved three tables together to bring us in from the rain. That said food and service was good until I got food poisoning from some bad jalapeño bacon. Not sure I will return.
This was our first time here and loved the food. Service was great. The atmosphere is good. I would highly recommend this place.
