Established in 2006, Chefs Ken Oringer and Michael Ginore believed that authentic Mexican cuisine would be very well received by Boston foodies. They teamed with the Lyons Group and created a power house team to present authentic Mexican fare in a lighter, cleaner presentation than we have grown accustom to in the North East. There vision is proudly presented as La Verdad. We are located very close to Fenway Park.

Great Mexican but Closed on Sundays? – My wife and I love this place, fantastic atmosphere, great authentic food and top notch margaritas. The bartender we had last Saturday (Feb 16th) she was great too, super friendly and very helpful with recommendations and she made a mean margarita. We loved it so much that last night (Sunday, Feb 25, 2008) we went back for more. Actually we brought friends, a group of us drove down to Boston to eat here. They hadn't been but really wanted to go after we raved about it and after they rea... read more
Great spot before the Game – I went to La Verdad before the playoff game on Friday for a few drinks with three friends. The bar was busy, but we were still able to get drinks, it just took a few minutes. The margaritas were very good, not too sure what was in them, but delicious just the same. There was one seat open so we all congregated around there on the right side of the bar. We ordered chips and guacamole to have something to nibble on while we drank, a very good choice - very fresh and the chips were very thick not th... read more
Best Tacos in Boston – Authentic Mexican food was hard to find in Boston ?until La Verdad opened. Not only do they serve you the best tacos in the city, but also they have the ambience that will keep people coming back. As you walk past the take out/open kitchen, you enter a room filled with soft light and Mexican wrestling masks dangle from the ceiling, in other words you are transposed to a different world. My party and I sat at a table and ordered a pitcher of the La Verdad margarita ? best margarita I?ve ever had, just t... read more
Fabulous Margaritas & Fresh Yummy Tortillas – I went to La Verdad for the first time last night before the game (left work a bit early?) for some margaritas and pre-game food where I met up with up some friends. We all arrived at different times, so we congregated at the bar. The bartender suggested I try their signature drink - the La Verdad Margarita a blend of tequila, agave nectar and fresh squeezed limejuice (which they do as they make their drinks, a very nice touch!) was amazing. The drink, which can be served in a pi... read more
Tacos and Tequila for two – Went to La Verdad yesterday before Rufus Wainwright concert on a friend's recommendation. I was aware it would be busy but I was greeted(with a very nice smile) and seated soon after. While waiting my girlfriend and I had margaritas at the bar, I had the house and she had the frozen strawberry - she loved hers(nice and sweet she wants me to write) and mine was fantastic - I really liked the touch the fresh-squeezed lime had instead of Rose's bottled. When we were seated outside after 10 minutes or... read more
La verdad The best Mexican food in BOSTON – I feel upon this restaurant after leaving Cask n Flagoon which wasn't the best experience and I got a half way down Landsdowne st and heard music coming from a patio. I walked into the restaurant and sat at the bar and tried a Margarita which I normally don't like it was amazing. I don't really consider my self a foody but I do like to try food I had a mixed taco plate with a pork taco, steak taco, and a tongue taco (tasted like kiboasa the bar tender recommended it which was a big... read more
Awesome Food and Margaritas – I went to La Verdad a few days ago with some friends and I have to say that the food was awesome. I haven't had grilled corn like that since I was in Mexico and bought it in the streets there - very authentic. We got a bunch of tacos to share and they were all very tasty and a good size. Not to mention the margaritas were great too. Our service was good - our waiter was very attentive and we received our food promptly. I have read several other reviews trashing the service there and I have to sa... read more
Best girls night out I ever had... – Great atmosphere, awesome music. The tacos are unbelievable, and you can't go there and not have the chips and guacamole....everything is so fresh. Oh, how could I forget?....they honestly make the best margaritas I've ever had (and that's a lot)
From the Guaco to the Fish Taco – This place is great. Now I'm no expert on food but everything I've had here, which is pretty much everything on the menu, has been delicious. Not only was the margarita that I had beautiful but also the bartender who was serving me. The service, in my experience, has always been very attentive and quick. I think that Ken should be very proud of his kitchen crew because they really get the job done. Thats what keeps me coming back at least once a week. And I also must mention the decour of th... read more
