Established in 2006, Chefs Ken Oringer and Michael Ginore believed that authentic Mexican cuisine would be very well received by Boston foodies. They teamed with the Lyons Group and created a power house team to present authentic Mexican fare in a lighter, cleaner presentation than we have grown accustom to in the North East. There vision is proudly presented as La Verdad. We are located very close to Fenway Park.

Good Times Went to Laverdad Last night and the food was great. I got the mixed gril plate which was steak pork and two house made sausages and my wife got the fish tacos. They were pretty busy and intil the game started after that the place cleared out. Our server was very nice and took care of us even know she was very busy. The drinks were right on and the margeritas were amazing
quick and tasty The cafe is great for a quick bite. I recommend the chips and guacamole. The quesadillas are really big too, but go for one with meat.
La Verdad is good I went in here for a drink and it was pretty good. I thought the servers were friendly and personable. Drinks were a little expensive but probably no more than typical places in boston
Good food, terrible drinks. I went for $1 taco night (Tuesdays) and if I had to rate La Verdad on their tacos, they would get 5 stars. Everything else is just A-Ok - it would have been only 2 stars, but I couldn't do that to a Ken Oringer restaurant. You can't beat $1 for delicious tacos, but a place named "La Verdad" should have fantastic margaritas too! The margarita I ordered came in a rocks glass, with a ridiculous amount of salt, and practically NO alcohol in it. They charge $8 for basically a virgin margarita. This is ... read more
La Verdad is right to satisfaction We went here once before a game. It was rather busy and crowded but it was a really fun time. I loved the margaritas. Our server was entertaining and friendly. The meat quality was really good and everything was to satisfaction
great tacos Went here last night before a show at the new House of Blues. We got seats at the bar which was great. It was pretty busy but really cleared out once people left to head over to the Sox game. The margaritas were really tasty, but pretty small and very weak, especially since they were $8-12 each. The tacos were yummy - I had a "choose three" combo plate with carne asada, carnitas, and chili relleno. The steak and pork quality were great - much better than some other mexican places. I'll definitely go again, but I ... read more
FOOD IS ALWAYS GREAT here. Fresh salsa and chips are served. Also, I love the taco plates because the tortillas are made fresh and so are the ingredients. The guacamole is to die for and so are the churros (when served fresh). I did get an old order of churros one time and had them make a fresh batch. As a Mexican, you can imagine you can't fool me with old churros (they should be served hot, crispy on outside and soft on the inside). When the fresh batch came out with a side of chocolate and caramel- they were AWESOME! If I... read more
Just don't have Angie as a server – While traveling to Boston - we visited this restaurant The food and drinks were good but the service was the worst I have seen in years. Being in the restaurant business for over 40 years myself - I was appalled at this girl's idea of service - and yet she manuevered to receive a typical (would have been more) tip by adding gratiuity to our check. So if you happen to venture here please ask NOT to have Angie as a server!!
Tuesday Night = Taco Night at La Verdad – I used to come here last semester for $1 taco nights at La Verdad! I was a bit apprehensive, since I'm not normally a big taco fan, but their soft tacos are some of the best in Boston. I wouldn't want to pay normal price, since the portion of the tacos arent that big, but to get 5 tacos for $5 - yes, please! The bartender there is wicked nice, she's very bubbly and likes making conversation. Haven't been here in the Sox season, but I'm sure it gets way crowded.
