The Best Italian Restaurant on The Planet and I grew up in my Godfather's Italian Restaurant and that was pretty damn good, so I know what I'm talking about!
Old school Italian. Outstanding. The Linguini and clams was off the charts

My wife and I went there for dinner last night. The food was amazing. Great wine list too. Very generous portions. True Italian. We met the owners, Armando and Joe. We felt like family. You can tell all the locals go there because they knew everyone. Thanks for a wonderful night. We will be back.
AMAZING food and intimate atmosphere......definitely a must each Chicago trip!
I write this as I’m eating my leftover Pasta Amore and I am extremely glad my buddy recommended this place and has been talking about it for a few months now. Very laid-back environment, very inexpensive for the great taste and portions. I usually don’t like driving out to the city to eat but I can definitely make an exception come back to La Scarola.
