La Paz has been my favorite restaurant in the area for years. Back in the old cramped building it was quaint and felt exclusive--albeit your typical hole in the wall floor plan. The new location struggled for a while but I have to say that I believe La Paz has more than redeemed itself. The salsa is amazing. Salsa is always my biggest critques with Mexican restaurants and La Paz really went out of their way to make it yummy and interesting at the same time. The menu has a lot to choose from. The staff was great!

I've been eating at this place since before it moved here from its previous location behind some buildings. That would have been about eight years ago. I'd like to say I go there every time I'm in Frederick, but that's not entirely true. I actually go there nearly every time I'm in downtown Frederick if I possibly can, and usually I get guacamole and or Fajitas. Great margaritas, salsa – this is a wonderful Frederick landmark offering the best margaritas and salsa in town. a great patio and a good offering for a variety of ages - even babies!
GREAT Food – Hope new location & new Kitchen enhance the great food. The Salsa is less than average, but the queso is it! Will tolerate the shredded salsa for the rest of the great Menu! Tasty after dinner mints!
