Awesome Mexican BYOB. Check out the tacos and quesadillas on the back page of the menu. Great for a date or meeting with friends. Fast takeout for a meal on the fly too.
This is a great little place. Fresh, delicious, authentic food. Will be back!
What an absolute treasure La Palapa is. My wife likes to refer to it as la joya de la calle Carson, or the jewel of Carson Street. Me, well I just call it an affordable and authentic night of gourmet mexican indulgence. Order anything on the menu and it will taste like it was prepared by a loved one. Just do not do yourself the disservice of missing the fried plantains.

Outstanding, authentic Mexican (not the Tex-mex we usually have stateside). It's my third trip and everything has been outstanding. Get the chilles rellenos for an appetizer.
Sooooo good! I haven't had Mexican food this good since I lived in California. This place is the real deal!
