The beds were okay, not hard as a rock. The pool and spa area was well maintained. You get a free breakfast each morning - they actually have cooks who prepare your eggs to your liking with hash browns, toast, sausage. The location is very convenient & easy to get to (near the Quarterhorse Museum) lots of fast food restaurants near by. They have a nightclub/bar inside the hotel. The bartender did an excellent job! Overall, it was a good stay, just needs some maintaining
Even though we were just passing through Amarillo, I enjoyed our short stay at La Kiva Hotel. It is a very unique hotel in appearance and I really liked that. The room was very clean and welcoming and I thoroughly enjoyed the fresh continental breakfast where they had two wonderful cooks making pancakes! They did an outstanding job. I only travel through Amarillo once a year, but from now on I will be staying at La Kiva
I stayed here while working. I had the wife, kid and dog with me, therefore they put me in the old part of the hotel that hadn't been remolded. The chair was torn and stained and the paint was old, but, the room was clean. I went in a room where another guy that was working with me stayed in the remolded part and it was very nice. The staff was very friendly. I would stay here again if I am in Amarillo.
The fairs were good. The attached bar and grill were great. Stayed one beginning of trip and enjoyed it so much, booked room there on way back thru for another night of excitement

Hotel has great character, and once fully renovated, it will be fabulous
The lobby and indoor common area is really nice. I didn't use the pool, but from a brief glance looked nice
I stayed at the hotel and I had a great experience. The hotel did need some fixing up and when I asked the front desk, which by the way were very helpful, they informed me that the hotel was under new management and that better things were soon to come. what I have seen in the hotel, I believe that it will be a great if not one of the best hotels in Amarillo.
