Awesome, the pizza is still the best in the world forty years later!
Perfect old world Italian food! My favorite was the pizza, with the crust done just so and the little pepperonis that get nice and crisp edges that curl up. The salad was wonderful, and our server told us it is the owner's personal secret assortment of spices and even the employees don't know the recipe. My daughter ordered spaghetti which at first I thought was unadventurous, but it reminded me of the spaghetti our Italian neighbor used to make and share with us when I was growing up, and I thought that was a nice surprise.... read more
is awesome! But the owner wanted to charge me for a second cup of coffee when my daughter took a sip when her drink was all gone. He was rude and was unprofessional to say the least. I wont tell people to eat there like I used to. I wouldnt want them to deal with the owners selfishness and rudeness like I did. Oh by the way my daughter was 3 years old at the time and wanted to just taste the coffee. The owner told me he would call the police if I didnt pay for another cup of coffee. Not Impressed Bad First Impression – Our first impression of this restaurant was terrible! A few weeks ago we decided to try out this restaurant as we travel to this area a lot. We were waiting in line for at least 10 minutes (which is normal for a Friday night). Finally, our table was ready. The problem was the manager/owner wouldn't let us go by because he was having a conversation with someone so they were blocking the doorway! Unfortunate – After reading several positive reviews, I decided to visit La Hacienda with some friends. First, my friends beer, which was in a bottle by the way, was completely flat. The owner was gracious enough to replace the beer but not before he tested it himself by pouring it into another glass. While we waited for our food we listened to some very disgruntled waitresses complain about their boss, not withholding any obscenities, of course. I ordered spaghetti with bolognese sauce. Fantastic Pizza - best ever for miles around. – This is the very best Pizza outside of New York City, and it is right here in Niagar Falls. I have been coming to La Hancienda for 20 years, and have even had cravings to the point that I asked the restaurant to Fed Ex some pies to my home out of state. This Pizza will have you wanting to make a second trip the next day. And the Beans & Greeens soup (something of a local specailty) is the best available anywhere.
