Our chef Sal was born in Sant'Andrea, Calabria and has had a passion for the culinary art since a young boy. He held a position as the Head Chef at Colonial Manor, a catering hall in Old Tappan New Jersey, for 10 years. In 2000, Sal and his wife Cathy opened La Fontanella and have since expanded their restaurant with the addition of a private party room. My wife and I always have a fantastic experience when we dine here. This week they had an amazing special of Filet Mignon with a shrimp and a scallop rosemary skewer on top, over asparagus and sliced potato and a scrumptious béarnaise sauce. It was absolutely amazing and prepared perfectly. They have a great cocktail menu and are such warm and gracious hosts. Five stars for sure -

Absolutely love this restaurant! Everything is always fresh and delicious...you can tell that love is put into each meal that is served. The owners are also very accommodating since I follow a vegan diet. In addition to the great food, the owners and staff couldn't be nicer. Everyone is always friendly and welcoming. What more could you ask for...delicious food, cozy atmosphere, and really great people!
