About this business
Our chef Sal was born in Sant'Andrea, Calabria and has had a passion for the culinary art since a young boy. He held a position as the Head Chef at Colonial Manor, a catering hall in Old Tappan New Jersey, for 10 years. In 2000, Sal and his wife Cathy opened La Fontanella and have since expanded their restaurant with the addition of a private party room. Italian Restaurant This place gives a new meaning to the word intimate. It is very, very small and if it is busy there is a definite crowded feeling. However, the food is good as is the service.

I highly recommend La Fontanella. This restaurant has always been my favorite. Great food, great service and wonderful owners. Tonight we ordered out and it was amazing!!
The food here is amazing!
I saw their Rack of Lamb photo posted on the South a Orangetown Patents page and convinced my husband, brother-in-law and his wife to go there for dinner tonight. The Lamb was DELICIOUS and we all loved our meals. Topped it off with my fave (tartufo) while the others had Italian Cheesecake with their coffee. The waitresses were attentive and lovely. What a nice evening, and close by!!! Will definitely be going again soon. Thanks for posting this Cathy!
