First of all this is nothing against any staff that works there they were all super friendly, nice and helpful. My complaint is with the company itself. I needed a gym membership for two months and they had a decreased initiation fee compared to pre-covid. Only reason it was decreased is because of ***** and theyre probably hurting a bit so when its convenient for them theyll offer you a break but now theyre back to **** over the little guy. I personally have nothing but bad experience with LA-Fitness. They make it impossible for you to cancel your subscription--they prefer to put the account on hold for a period and then will automatically re-activate the account. Back in 2018 I successfully canceled my account, and out of no where, while checking my monthly bank charges I see that LA-Fitness has reactivated the account and I am getting a monthly charge for 42.37 which they say it is not coming from them. I signed up for a gym membership at LA fitness ********* in ******** as they promised ********* services. They said the ********* would be open within a week. Three weeks later it was still not open so I cancelled the membership. They charged $200 and will not issue a refund. Beware of unethical sales practices to try to sell memberships!

I was a member of this LA Fitness club in ******, ** for over 2 years or so. They gave me a very hard time for cancelling the membership. I want to cancel my membership as I am moving to a different location in **.1st ******* - I went to the club and requested them in-person for cancellation. The person at the reception told me that their manager is on vacation until 10 days and they asked me to either come after 10 days or call up corporate. I am sick and tired of health clubs [Esporta Fitness] who litter my neighborhood with their rolled up fliers they leave on everyone's lawn. Most people don't pick them up so the paper ends up blowing around. They should be required to come back two days after dropping and pick up their trash. "

This business is nothing but a scam. My husband and I signed up for a membership and also did a year contract for training sessions with a trainer. A week after signing the contract I lost my job. I called the home gym and the corporate office to try and cancel the contract and was told that wouldn’t be possible. I begged and pleaded to hopefully get some sympathy and I was told by the fitness director that my training sessions were essential and the best he could do was just freeze my account for ONE month. The location in Wesley Chapel, FL is run down and gross. Despite that, I tried to reactivate my membership using a reactivation promotional rate from an email. The reactivation created a duplicate account that I could not login to or manage. When I tried to speak with the on-premises support, the first person I spoke with wanted to be helpful but didn’t know how to fix it. She directed me to a support number that didn’t work. I was playing my racket ball. around 3:30 there is two men walking in saying they have a reservations. I ask the front desk was this first come first serve or reservation come first. He said at first FCFS than I told him there is two man kicking me out saying they have reservation( no any sign on the racket room saying it’s reserved) than he said reservation come first.
