GM has repeatedly harassed and sexually harassed multiple female patrons. They refuse to let you cancel your membership anywhere except through a form that you must mail into their offices.Literally illegal.
The entire Fitness International LLC are unscrupulous in their dealings with members. My son purchased me a membership over two years ago and I have never been and they keep charging me after I have repeatedly attempted to cancel the membership. After several phone calls to their corporate office I was able to get this resolved; however, they would not reimburse the membership fees. I would not recommend this gym to anybody regardless of what they tell you.
The worst place ever, the personal trainer I had knew absolutely nothing about the policy and when I canceled I was continuously charged even after speaking to the manager and trainer. I tried calling and was left with no help, they were telling me it will be canceled but continued to charge me over 150 per month to 200 dollars although I never even used one training session ever and then when it happened I would be told I was going to get a full refund for it but then the month would come around and I was charged even more.... read more
Last year I visited LA Fitness in *******, **. A manager (he still works there, i just don't know his name) gave me an overview of everything in the facility. After having a horrible experience with Xsport, LA Fitness looked better. I told the manager I would come back with two of my friends to sign up for a regular membership and personal training sessions. I kept my word and brought my friends with me. This LA fitness club doesn't believe in air conditioning. Impossible to work out. They do not turn on the air conditioner in the morning (7.30-8.30 am).
They are AWFUL. For the past year and a half, medical issues (2 foot surgeries) have prevented me from using the gym at all. I haven't visited since well before COVID. They charged me monthly fees even though I froze my membership. They charged me an annual renewal fee. When I called to tell them I needed to continue my frozen membership, they tried to charge me late fees for several months (and never notified me of any late payments). My 17 year old son went in for a trainer.. We told **** that my son would be going back to school next month .. **** says ohhhh thats fine he can make changes.. Yesterday we go in and tell them. LA Fitness recently changed their name to Esporta in CT, offering a much lower rate to its new members, 50% lower to be exact for the same amenities you were getting under the LA Fitness name. I have been a member for 3 going on 4 years paying $49 monthly to be able to bring a friend and also visit any LA Fitness in CT. Membership now is $24.99 for the same deal.
