I am currently attempting to cancel my membership. I have moved to a town with no LA Fitness and have recently suffered an injury which limits my mobility.I hope I do not have to file a complaint to cancel my membership. I do not own a printer and cannot access any way to cancel on their online system.I will give them until Friday to resolve this. I have read others reviews and complaint and find that most of them include difficulty canceling. How long can these abusive behaviors continue?

I would give zero stars if I could, LA Fitness has always provided the bare minimum when I was a member there. They will show their true colors to their *valued* members when you try to cancel a membership. If you are lucky it will only take a few visits in person, and be careful because if you are out of town or recently moved the ****************** will make you email a few different addresses which are purposefully incorrect to delay the entire process. Stole money out of my account. Signed up for a six month agreement. I was told explicitly that it would end after six months. Went in 6 months later to check if it would end and the guy who signed me up told me that there was no need since my agreement was ending. Saw later they never stopped charging me, Im furious and apparently they arent responsible for any lying from their sales staff as long as its in the fine print. They are thieves!

On Tuesday, 6/15 I went in to seek a fitness consultation and inquire about training. I spoke with *** *. If I could give the ************, ** location a 0 star I would. I have had my gym membership at LA Fitness for a few months now and was told during sign up that I would receive guess passes. I never needed one until today. I brought my sister who was here for a month from overseas and told her I could take her to the gym with me since i would have a guest pass. Employee said *************, but after signing electronic pad and received a hard copies. I read it once I got home. Surprisingly, following month, I must pay an annual fee. Very sneaky business way.

I was initially tricked to open a multi state account and then the same day I told them since I would be moving to ************* pretty soon and there are no LA Fitness gyms in the city, I would be fine with a single state pass. The manger said it was okay and they would help me switch to a single state account with a lower initiation fee. Instead, they opened two membership accounts under my name and charged me twice. The gym is below average as a gym, but what gives them one star is their customer service and them not letting you cancel over the phone, you have to go in person or send a certified letter. Just ludicrous obviously a tactic to get people to keep paying membership fees when they don't want the membership."

This is incredibly upsetting. I was told by the two male reps ******* & **** that I was signing my 12 year old son ***** up for a one time introductory offer of 8 session at 280.00 since we had just joined the LA fitness that evening. My son was so excited. They completely lied to both of us. They had both of us sign on a small Pad. They had computer screen turned towards them, these two male reps stated, they were having computer issues and the printer was not working but assured me this was legit.
