LA Fitness will not cancel your membership ever. Do not sign their form!! I have made monthly telephone, written (Round Rock and California) and in person contact due to my being a Covid19 high-risk medically compromised individual. My contacts have been civil and made in multiple forms all in accordance with their contract -- every month since May. They are still charging my credit card every month. Once again they charged me in late August, which I have now disputed with my Credit Card company.

I think it’s ridiculous that a gym can close at 8pm during weekdays then have the audacity to close at 5pm on weekends considering cancelling my membership and moving gyms that have actual flexible hours and advising friends and family to do the same

I will advised everyone to join our voices and to do a class actions against LA fitness. I was robbed 514 $ during covid and i use my membership for 2 weeks before it closed. They are thief. I received a email stating that they are sorry for charging during covid they will give me back those months when they are opened. As soon as they opened they never respected their engament. I lost my membership after getting laid off due to COVID-19 related downturns. My membership was through my employer. I was not notified that the gym reopened due to my membership being terminated, but I did see two charges for $240 each for personal trainings that I would be unable (and unwilling due to the pandemic) to attend. I called the local LAF, they said they emailed me about the gym opening and they would need a manager to figure this out. The manager was in a meeting, so I would get a call back in an hour or so. LA Fitness is not taking mask wearing seriously as evidenced by the fact that the front desk man isn't wearing one! I will be looking for another gym.

I went through 3 trainers in 3 months, who all stood me up numerous times and left the gym without telling me. I tried verbally and emailing to end my membership due to the gym not keeping their end of the contract signed. I was continually billed at the wrong price, a very higher one, for six more months. Its now been over a year of me sending proof of text messages, and emails proving LA Fitness not fulfilling their end to the contract, asking for a refund of the months I was not trained and nobody will respond back to me.... read more

I was a customer for many years having more than one membership for my family. In May I tried to cancel by following their guidelines and it was basically impossible. Reached out to CS several times but no matter what I did ended up in an endless circle, therefore, requesting CS to cancel 2 memberships. They charged me for June and canceled a week after. Not only was I tricked into signing a year long personal training contract, I was also lied to about the whole ordeal after I verbally stated I don’t want to sign for a year. I received no proof of the contract I signed and was told that it was my fault for not reading the contract correctly, even though I don’t have proof of a contract to begin with. I've always heard and read stories about LA's sly charges but never experienced it until now. This review is in regards to the yearly maintenance fee I joined June 18th, 2019 and got charged the yearly maintenance fee of $54 (including tax) on August 18th. Why I'm charged a YEARLY maintenance fee on the 3rd month is beyond me but I regress. Due to Covid I froze my account on March 13th and unfroze is on August 11th (151 days).
