LA Fitness is a total hustle and professional scam They have streamlined the process of joining, but are totally corrupt in how difficult they make it to discontinue a membership, so much to the point that when I went into the club and requested they cancel my membership, I was told by the management that they could not do it for me on the spot, that l would need to go home and print a form from their website, bring it back or mail it in just to cancel the service. For unknown reasons, L.A. Fitness (ESporta) charged my credit card for $25 on Dec. 17, 2020. When I asked the assistant manager about it, he said that it was a mistake and that he would get it fixed right away. Well, after three weeks and numerous conversations and text messages, the charge has still not been reversed. i would leave less stars if i could. First off on a good day their staff is unprofessional and unfriendly. Today, i forgot my mask admittedly so, the policy is mask upon entry and exit only. After allowed to enter without a mask on i was approaching a piece of equipment when a manager came running up and began yelling their policy at me, i said im already in the club am i going to really have to run to the car to re enter only to get back to where i am and take it back off. I have had a membership for 29.99 a month at the Evanston location and I cannot say I have been happy with any of their trainers. I was given 1 or 2 free personal training sessions however, after every session they have kept me there for an hour trying to force me into buying their personal training packages that are extremely expense and are a scam as they don't even give you 30 minutes of their time. Hello, I was at the LA Fitness in Glenside, PA with my wife this morning we went into the room where they hold classes when the class was over around 9:45. We were in the back of the room where the heavy bags are located to do a boxing workout, I pulled down my mask to get a quick breath we were at least 40 plus feet away from the instructor and the person she was talking to. Dallas, Lovers Lane and Mockingbird locations, do not enforce or request mask wearing. Even when it was a city and county mandate. I have requested staff monitoring but many of the managers don’t even masks at these locations.
I'm honestly disgusted with la fitness, my husband started a personal training program there and he went to cancel his personal training program after 7 days because of personal issues and his trainer, ***** told him no and that he would just put it on hold for 3 months until our personal situation would get better and kept charging us when we told him we wanted to quit.. we were pretty much forced into staying into the training and when we saw he kept charging us, we went to him and he said he continued charging us because ... read more
Good luck cancelling your auto pay subscription! They will run you around and then no matter what you do, they will keep charging your account. What a horrible experience.
I've had my family's my membership on freeze. It shouldn't expire until January 2021. Three times now they have charges me full membership price. I called last month because they charged me. The manager said she fixed it and apologized and somehow made it like it was my fault. TODAY they charged me again full membership price.
