LA Fitness is a scam. When I signed up, you are required to pay a processing fee and first and last months monthly fees. HOWEVER, if you decide to cancel your membership online, they will require you to MAIL a form so I decided to walk in to cancel. I've tried walking in multiple times to cancel and multiple times, workers would say the manager isn't there. They charged me four times for my gym membership. I am in the middle of resolving that issue and they now charged me $49.99 from their ************ location in *********** I live in Southern **. This is a shady business at best that is hoping their customers do not keep track of their bank expenses so they can steal from us.
This business is a scam. I have sent CERTIFIED MAIL letters in TWICE. I get the same robotic e-mail about how I have to send in a form to cancel my membership? LA Fitness HARASSES their customers when they cannot process an automated membership payment. They called and left messages for the other people on my membership and myself a MINIMUM of 3 times in ONE day. I even have a record of them calling 6 times in ONE DAY!! incredibly unprofessional. GM has repeatedly harassed and sexually harassed multiple female patrons. Regional manager, management on site, and regional HR have repeatedly dismissed and hidden information and have taken little to no action regarding the numerous complaints from patrons in person, in reviews, and via complaints to the coporate HR email/phone.Multiple comments, reviews, and complaints have not been taken seriously and has resulted in multiple women canceling memberships or avoiding going during the times that this individual is on the cl... read more
They refuse to let you cancel your membership anywhere except through a form that you must mail into their offices.Literally illegal.
The entire Fitness International LLC are unscrupulous in their dealings with members. My son purchased me a membership over two years ago and I have never been and they keep charging me after I have repeatedly attempted to cancel the membership. After several phone calls to their corporate office I was able to get this resolved; however, they would not reimburse the membership fees. I would not recommend this gym to anybody regardless of what they tell you.
The worst place ever, the personal trainer I had knew absolutely nothing about the policy and when I canceled I was continuously charged even after speaking to the manager and trainer. I tried calling and was left with no help, they were telling me it will be canceled but continued to charge me over 150 per month to 200 dollars although I never even used one training session ever and then when it happened I would be told I was going to get a full refund for it but then the month would come around and I was charged even more.... read more
Last year I visited LA Fitness in *******, **. A manager (he still works there, i just don't know his name) gave me an overview of everything in the facility. After having a horrible experience with Xsport, LA Fitness looked better. I told the manager I would come back with two of my friends to sign up for a regular membership and personal training sessions. I kept my word and brought my friends with me.
