I was harassed by a male member of the gym I formerly attended. LA Fitness in ************ on Valley View. This incident happened at around 9:30pm PT on Wednesday May 4th. I confronted the individual for what I felt was unsolicited and inappropriate behavior-- i felt that he had been following me around at the gym. I am disappointed by the management and staff of this gym. I mainly joined this gym due to its ******* **** location. When touring this gym, ***** never disclose that the ******* **** location would be unavailable in 2 months, nor did he chose to disclose there $30 cancellation policy. I've called multiple times to cancel my membership but I was continuously told that I either had to mail in a form or come into the gym to cancel it. I initially wanted to sign up with this place but the manager turned me off. I used a day pass to test trial this gym and enjoyed it. Horrible business model and zero integrity to there services they offer. Their sales person sold me 12 personal training sessions for some "holiday special" they were running and told me that they were on my account forever and I could use at my discretion. Between a lifting injury and the only competent trainer at the location being available, about 5 months go by with 8 sessions still to go on my account. I wasn't ever entirely happy with LA Fitness/Esporta in ************************************, as the facility always seemed a little dirty. As I was canceling my wifes membership, on her behalf with her permission, I called the gym to do so, and they told me I needed to call during a certain time and speak with ****** the operations manager. Then when I call in the next day during the time specified, they ask me to come in to the gym between 9-5, conveniently during business hours making it extremely difficult to cancel without taking time off of work.Luckily ****** told me I can send an email, which is very different from 2 members of his team told me I could d... read more

I wish i could give less then one star. La Fitness Refuses to fix any cardio machines in the gym, 40% of them have repair stickers on them. Out of the remaining 60% of the equipment only 15% of them work correctly, Everyone in the entire gym has been complaining it has been 3 years now and nothing has been done. When you complain they tell you to go to a different gym.

The customer service at ******************** is absolutely horrible. The process for cancellations have been a nightmare. I cancelled with a personal trainer and they stated that a regional director has to approve the cancellation. It's been two weeks and no one has reviewed or confirmed my cancellation. I'm still calling and going up to the location trying to get this resolved. I'm seeing so many bad reviews for their cancellation process so it seems like LA Fitness did not want to leave out the renewal process either. They send me an email on the 4/12 telling me that if I renew my membership I can get a month free voucher for a friend. So i renewed my membership on 4/18 and have spoken to 5 reps, followed via email 3x, currently on hold as I type this review and wait for every convoluted explanation they have not said yet.
