I would leave 0 starts if I could. DO NOT get training from LA Fitness. They say one thing but then you can not get out of the contract like they said you can. I did a free session with ******* and he knew I was only in ********** for a month and had to go back to ******* where I live. I asked what if I didn't like the other gyms or its not convenient for me to do training there. He said it would be easy to cancel just to say that I live far. The management of the gym is horrible and the equipment is old and *****. I sent an email that the amount of noise the machine is makes me uncomfortable and unsafe. The noise of all the machines could be heard from the front door. I expressed some concern about using the machine but I was told there was nothing they could really do. Then, I learned the gym equipment was there since 2010 and we are now in 2023. The amount of money we pay a month does not match the gym condition. Would leave 0 stars if I could. The management here is attrocious and it's just unfortunately an overall dangerous place to be. The other day I was working out there when two guys got into an argument. They went to the front desk to discuss and not 5 minutes later the guy who was continuously yelling at the top of his lungs sees me as he is walking back and for some unknown reason, gets in my face saying he will hurt me and shoot me. I was injured in a car accident July 28, 2022. I entered into a contract on July 18, 2022. I contemplated being able to return to the ESPORTA sonI continued to pay $29gym, $49 trainer fee and $198 extra trainer sessions. Total contract for one year $3432. I am doing physical therapy. First they will invite you on a "Free Training Assessment"From there, they will hard-sell you a training plan. But the worst part of the plan is that they don't care about your results, they care about getting you to give them money to buy some time slots.They first pitched me a HIIT style workout to build muscle, which I didn't really want to do. Great amenities and location, however, here is what's unfortunate:1. The equipment is sooo old - from the bikes in the spinning class, to the mats in the studio (half of them are ripped apart) to the treadmills TV not working. 2. Clientele: What dissapoints me most is the lack of class from the clientele. Every day I see people on the treadmill watching movies or listening to music on Speaker, not using their headphones! My fianc and I decided to start the new year by signing up for the gym. There was an LA fitness about a 5 min drive from our house. We decided to take a tour and we liked the facilities. When we signed up for the membership, they asked us if we wanted a free fitness assessment. At the conclusion of the assessment, they asked if we were interested in personal training. I was given a 5 day personal training trial by the personal training *********** could cancel any time. First day for ***** I show up & theres no trainer available, I go in the next day to cancel nobody is there. Now im trying to cancel but I have to pay 50% when Ive never used this program! & the PT manager ****** recall giving us that 5 day trial because he knows he wasnt doing his job! DONT SIGN UP FOR PERSONAL TRAINING! ITS A SCAM!
