I got a personal trainer on 3/02/2023. Ive Tried to cancel my Personal trainer account/ gym membership with LA Fitness I went into the gym to cancel and unfortunately nobody was there for the person that could cancel my membership wasnt there I was told to come back with someone will be there I did, and when I showed my contract that said I could leave if my membership was less than two months both of the higher-*** and thats a new contract follow up two days later now theyre telling me that its only valid in ********** not ... read more

As has been said, this business is a customer-gouging SCAM. The manager, *****, is a fast-talking, used-car salesman. I cannot get my contract in writing...no printouts from them, no emailed contract ...nothing. They had the wrong email address (their input error) and when corrected, I still could not get any mailed information. I wish I had read these reviews before ever walking in the door. My husband and I were enrolled due to the silver sneakers program through our **************** We only wanted access to a gym which silver sneakers offers for free. I was told a day and time to come and I would be introduced to the equipment and where different were located. At least that is what I was told. Machines are consistently broken down and they don't ever fix them paying too be able to work out but not to be able to work out because majority of the Machines are disabled, and gym it's self is always dirty. You pay a membership and a Enhancement fee for upgrades and repairs and there not applying them to have anything fixed

Firstly, they are scammers. They lie about the contract I asked several times about my contract but no one helped with that. The only thing I was to see my contract and see my legal rights but no one helped with that. Personal trainer told me that I can cancel anytime I want but that was a lie. Its 12 months contract that you have to pay and if you wanna cancel you have to pay %50 which is another crazy thing. If you're a female wanting to join LA Fitness enchanted parkway and absolutely love working out and working out with your girlfriends this is NOT the place to go. The management staff will stereotype, discriminate and call out wild accusations in front of guests claiming that you're training your girlfriends even though you have been going there for over 4 years. I am upset and ready to sue ********************** for discrimination. Today i entered the gym and scanned barcode which is valid. Before i could do my workout the two front desk agents told me i needed to take a picture or show id...i refused because it is not in my contract to show id. So i asked for them to show me where in writing that i needed a picture to enter the gym and they could not provide the information or documents stating that. Definitely not a Signature gym. The hot tub has been out of service since COVID. When asked about it the staff gives a rehearsed response We are waiting for the state to clear us, We are waiting for the city to clear us We are waiting for the repair guy. Expensive membership dues but cheap uncaring service. Once you sign up for a membership youre just another member no one cares about customer service after they get you to sign on the dotted line.

Can't cancel membership, there is not help at all , they want you to fill up a form that is not on there website or came in when the manager is there .
