I joined 5/1/23 and was given an appt with the head of the Personal Training. I was offered a package, which included; 30 minute personal training, meal plans and weekly check ins. When told the price, $240/month for one yr, I declined. I only needed to lose 10 pounds and tone up. I was told I could freeze the account and stop the training at any time. Esporta on 341 NJ ********************************************* - A lot of equipment is down since Covid reopening and the spa hot tub is out of service for the 6th Month in the row, pool and men's sauna are dirty. Staff is polite, but they don't last more than 3-4 month, some of them are clueless. Front Desk Manager is always looking for excuses and walks away when asked. Using contact email just brings back canned message from the local 'front desk leader'. Very upsetting.

Not at all happy with my experience at LA Fitness. There is a certain level of dishonesty and coercion. Ive been members of fitness clubs since the 80s and back then the businesses were generally unscrupulous. Over the decades, they have generally improved. LA Fitness has not follow that trend. And now they tell me I cannot cancel my membership. Im going to have to cancel my **** card.

I jointed in may at the ******** center and in June 1 they posted that the facility will be closing at the end of June. When I spoke to the head office and spoke to *** he begin to be defensive and would not allow me to speak. Then put me on hold and left me there. When I signed up I was told I had to be a member for 4 months in order to not be charge for early withdrawal they are not honest with the customers and are combative when you challenged them

Despicable gym, equipment is a joke and no staff. Pathetic, no leadership and no response from corporate. we pay full price and only get 50% of the equipment to use, EVERYTHING in that gym needs to be service and a deep clean.

I had a situation when I decided to do the trial session with the trainer manager ******. This is after I already signed up online for my membership. He asked all the questions to make the Interaction personable and the used my words against me when I mentioned I couldnt rationalize spending $200 on top of my monthly for 4 30-minute sessions. Would have chosen ZERO Stars if allowed. This is the worst of the three locations on Staten Island, although Forest Avenue is no better. I travel for work, and enjoy LAF elsewhere - but the conditions at this gym have gotten so bad that I had to join another gym. Luckily I am in an annual contract that expires soon. LAF needs to take a serious look at how their Staten Island locations are being run. Most machine are either broken or missing the necessary pins to operate. Beware of LA Fitness center, facilities , management and employees and the corporation. You really positively ask for copy of any contract and read it before you sign any contract digitally. They will lie to you and cheat you if you trust them what they are saying and what youre signing digitally without getting any time to read while you are putting your signature on the electronic pad.
