If I could give this place any rating, it would be a minus 1 star. The people working at the desk are comatose and do nothing to help the customer. I've experienced three instructor absences in the last few weeks . The schedule said that they had a sub in place and no one showed. When i asked the front desk where the instructor was, he said he didn't know and put no effort into finding out why.The place is filthy, no toilet paper half the time and nothing to clean the spin bikes with. My 14 year old son and two of his 14 yo buddies searched for a place with extended hours to play basketball and workout. They looked at Esporta in ********, **. The membership person told them about a 3-day FREE trial period. He had them sign a membership agreement and leave their debit cards on file BEFORE they looked at the facilities. Employee attitude:My husband is a member of LA fitness. I went to check in with his QR code because he was loading stuff from the car. I told the front desk saying this was my husband's QR code and I was his guest (his membership allows him to bring the guest). I ask the front desk can I get in because I am ******* to the restroom. This company thrives off of people paying for a service they do not use. I signed up for personal training, thinking this would help my fitness goals. I was assigned one personal trainer, not given any other options. There were no directions given about how to switch trainers. My session with the trainer I was assigned was an absolute joke. Nothing I said was taken into account. We had texted and I told him we were thinking about cancelling, no one reached out to remedy the situation. CANCELLATION POLICY: You have to come M-F between 9-5 as there is only one person supposedly that can cancel. If you work during those hours like most people, you have to print off a form on their website, buy postage stamps, go to the mailing office and mail it in. Why? Why is it so intentionally difficult to cancel? I asked the manager why and he had no explanation other than "it's easier to cancel here than other gyms."Also, I didn't even know I had a membership (which is another thing). DO NOT JOIN. Poorly run, damaged equipment. And to cancel membership, can only be done in person Mon-Fri 9-5. Scam of an operation.

The personal training was an absolute joke. My first "trainer" told me he was learning how to be a trainer and then left me by myself to talk to his friends around the gym. Mind you they had no problem continuing to charge me for this service. My "trainer" failed to show for sessions and was extremely inexperienced overall. I understand everyone starts somewhere but don't charge over $200 for uncertified trainers. Impossible to cancel this membership.I have been trying to cancel this membership for over a year. I had purchased memberships for my kids years ago. They have not used the memberships in years. We no longer know what the member numbers are nor will they tell me when I email them. I am directed to cancel the membership online which I cannot do without the member number.
