I joined LA Fitness in mid March, and I had a free initial session scheduled in 2-3 days. Time confirmed. The person that was supposed to meet me wasn't there. Someone else did that session for me. I signed up that night for personal training, scheduled a second session, the very next day. This time, the trainer no showed, after confirming via text. I wanted to give it a no star but had to settle for one star. Please do no join this gym. They have charged me $160 for personal training sessions that never occurred due to COVID 19 Pandemic. It is ridiculous trying to get a straight answer from management at the Lakeland, TN location. How could I have personal training sessions when the gym was closed? I called on 6/1/2020 to cancel mine and my fiancés membership with LA Fitness the person I spoke to suggested I freeze it for three months so the billing would stop and I could decide at the end of the freeze if I still wanted to cancel, which I did. I checked my bank account and on 6/1 there was a charge for 26.74 and on 6/2 there was another charge for 51.56 from LA Fitness after they said there would be no fees taken until after the freeze. Lately, I am very frustrated with La Fitness company service. Due to COVID-19, I stopped attending the gym in March and called them about it. After they resumed, I called them and asked to cancel my membership because the pandemic is still continuing. At 64 yo, I do not want to get sick. They refused to cancel by phone. I paid for first and last months membership, canceled my membership in April and two months later, still cant access my membership i paid for. They have no interest in their members and thats why I decided to leave. they make it so difficult to get any member information or to even talk to anybody out of club. The worst customer service. A friend of mine recently bought a membership at the gym on Main Street in Dunedin, FL. She told me the gym allows members to offer a friend a two week free trial. My son moved here from NY and is interested in joining a gym, so I gave my friend my son's contact information. She informed me that my son just needs to stop by the gym. While I like goung to the club, dealing with the corporate office is terrible. After waiting over an hour on hold, I was connected to Jefferson, who denied me the opportunity to speak to a supervisor. First and foremost, Jefferson was completely unprofessional. LA fitness overcharged me, and he made it most difficult. I honestly don't thinl Jefferson should keep his job. He does NOT put the Customer first!!! Especially when it was LA fitness who grossly overcharged me!

My wife and I joined LA Fitness (Dunedin, FL) last January. I signed up for personal trainer services (Jan-June). We enjoyed the quality of the Club and Trainer instruction up until LA Fitness closed due to the virus risk. Our LA Fitness reopened yesterday May 25.
