At first, they seem very nice, but do not provide clear explanations as to what they are charging. on 9/18, I signed up for a membership. I agreed to pay a sign up fee, plus first and last month. I was told I have no contract and that moving forward, I would only be charged my monthly fee until I decided to stop paying. Zero stars!!! DECEPTION AND NEGLECT!!!I signed up for **************** services. After two weeks, the trainer missed two appointments and I found out he was fired. No other trainer was available for the days/times I had requested. I requested cancellation and was assured that it would be taken care of but am still getting charged monthly fees

Since I joined LA Fitness in *************, **, I have been very disappointed in the upkeep of the equipment and facility. The whirlpool was out of commission for months and the sauna is currently not operational. They keep moving the date the repair is to be completed. It has been months. Currently a leg machine is "scheduled for service" and a water vending machine is "out of order". Not long ago, the water fountain was not functioning. I had signed up for a Personal Trainer (**********, ** location), after 2 sessions the trainer quit. When asked about a new trainer I was told no trainer was available for the day I had requested. After requesting to refund my account, less the two sessions I had they refused even though they could not provide the service the agreed too. I have been a member of LA Fitness since they opened in *************. In 2021 I decided to cancel membership. Spoke to someone at gym they cancelled membership. But I was still getting charged. Spoke to someone on phone. They looked at account and said it had not been closed by suspended. So I asked them to close it. This happened several times. Lost $800 in 30 days with esporta in ********. They told me I can sign up for personal training for $65 bucks and cancel anytime. I tried personal training for a month and it was rushed and trainer did not ask me any questions. I tried to cancel personal training and they said I signed up for a yearly contract so I have to pay $740 and that each month of training is $165. Um what???? This was not explained to me. I tried to tell them it was a misunderstand with but they were ruthless. I left the gym crying.

This gym is extremely filthy. When I arrive in the morning, there are sweat stains on the equipment, trash and dirt all over the floors. Not a sanitary place to workout, which can cause health problems. I am contemplating cancellation.

A little over two months ago I decided to cancel my membership. I was told that I could either cancel in person or via email. Naturally, I chose email, the much easier option, and am regretting it to this day. I included every bit of personal information that might be necessary for a cancellation except for an email address, then not remember which email address they had on file, emailed from the wrong one.
