I have the worst experience with them, as i enrolled my daughter with Personal trainer and paid in advance, they never gave her the needed time we requested nor they called to reschedule and it 2 1/2 month later no one is calling me to do anything about it nor calling to refund is back for the bad service
I was at this ******* Mall ** location on Saturday 6/11 when suddenly a manager (tall guy - probably the tallest one there ) who claimed he was the manager and his name is Will profiled and stereotyped me. He says I look like a black guy who threw a mask at one of his employee. I would like to report the situation and how I was treated as a customer while I was at the club.First of all, I am a dad of two children, 4 and 9 years old. My spouse and I have been members since 2014. During the pandemic, the club was closed and we never received any notice or reminder for renewal. This past week, I received an email to renew for 1 year at $129. My spouse received no email. We both went to the club to renew. We were told that both our memberships are inactive and it would cost us $429 each to rejoin. We walked out. I renewed mine online for $129. The cancellation process is extremely convoluted and LA Fitness has been taking money from me for months. I've requested to cancel but I get many ridiculous responses from employees and staff that I'm not able to cancel online nor in person. When asked if I could cancel in person on a Saturday, they told me that I wouldn't be able to cancel until during the week. To get you to sign up for personal training they use a highly inaccurate BMI chart claiming that a BMI of 17 was healthy whereas a BMI of 23 was poor. If you compare this to the information provided by the *********************** you see major discrepancies. The *** states that **** or lower is underweight and 25 or higher is overweight. They use a very high pressure manipulative approach to get you to sign up. Their prices are not listed on the website.
Id give 0 stars if I could. Where should we start? Signed on July 2021 with ****, their supposed Lead Trainer who then 2 weeks later ghosted me and apparently the entire gym. Didnt show up to 2 appointments we made for personal training and since then hasnt apologized or even reached out to make up for his gross mistakes. I called this location to cancel my membership. The representative who assisted misled me into believing he cancelled my membership. Instead, he had me sign up for a new membership that started 3 months later....Upon checking my bank statements, I realized in Oct '21 that LA Fitness/Fitness International has been stealing money from me! I tried to cancel my membership since I have moved from the area. I called twice and received three different answers including, " can cancel on-line", "has to be done in person 9-5", " has to be in writing and mailed in to the corporate". Except for the last one, all are incorrect.I went on a Sunday to my club which is located *******, **.
