Request to cancel membership ignored.I have been a grandfathered member since LA bought Bally. I moved a couple times and switched gyms at same rate. After recent mice, they refused to allow me to switch with same rate. I cannot cancel my membership in the app, was told via email I must go to the gym (no longer close to me) betw 8-5 to cancel I person. There are so many pointless things that I would rather waste my money on other than this unethical, incompetent, and fraudulent excuse for a respectable health organization. They refuse to let me cancel my membership multiple times, so I canceled my card on file. They somehow then obtained the new card number and continued to charge me monthly. LA FIT on the corporate level operated disastrously in the ************** after the mask mandate lifted, endangering client health in favor of an opportunity to recuperate revenues (presumably). This particular location is in a democrat-voting and Covid-conscience immigrant heavy community. The **** program was not well attended, initially, because of the pandemic. Today 11/19/2021 customer#************* *****************************.I was completely misinformed to put my membership on hold for 4 months, they just told me it would charge $10 ok, it was different for some reason they didn't say I used the gym I still could and it caused activation of the remember charging me $33 went to complain, I felt discrimination speaking Spanish. My issue with LA Fitness I signed up for a 6 month term. 6 months. I was asked to pay first and last month fees ok no problem. I didn't go to the gym. I was going to try and go the next month. I got charged for tget month. Sure no problem. Then I got charged annual fee. Now help me out 6 months is not a year. I sent a message asking for my money back and to end my membership. On 11/13/2021 at about 4:15pm, I was threatened in the lockerroom, as an lgbtq hate crime. I went into the lockerroom to change after work and when I entered there were three men arguing pretty loudly. It went on the entire time I was changing. I joined LA Fitness in *********** when the gym first opened. I have been a faithful customer and even invested in a personal trainer. When gyms reopened with Covid requirements, I returned. This time I brought my daughter and paid for a trainer. There was one part-time trainer with only three appointments available. Those appointments were during school hours. Sleazy, outdated, bait and switch sales tactics... My wife and I were excited and ****% ready to sign up, but first we wanted to see the gym and experience a workout to get a feel for the vibe. One time would have been fine. Nope. They wouldn't honor the 3 day passes we printed directly from their site. Keep in mind they spam called me almost every day for 2 weeks prior asking me when I'd like to activate my pass. WTF? Hello. My name is ***********************. I have attended the facility on forest lane. Recently Ive been have back injuries as well as a stroke. I had a personal trainer as that I wasnt able to get with because of that. I called and spoke with **** as he has called me back with expediency. To rectify my issue. I give him 5 stars.
