Do NOT Valet! – This was our first experience at this La Duni location. We typically frequent the Oak Lawn location, but decided to try the McKinney Avenue location. The first thing we noticed was how small the parking lot was, so we ended up having to valet the car. The food and service were excellent. Nothing to complain about there. Once we got our car back from the valet service, we noticed that it had been wrecked. When we confronted La Duni management, they informed us that the valet service was not their responsibilit... read more

Cuatros Leches Cake should be Cuatros Dias Cake – My friends and I have wanted to try this place for sometime now because of the great reviews that we?ve read, and we finally got around to it. All I can say is that I was unconvinced. First, we paid $9.75 for an alcoholic beverage that was mostly ice. I can say that our service, once we sat down, was good. The meal was mediocre, but the dessert was awful! I am an avid baker, and I have heard so many great comments about the bakery items at La Duni, especially the Cuatros Lech... read more

Who writes these reviews? – The main review states that it "ceases to impress". I hope whoever wrote that understands that that is a negative thing to say. Uhh, who writes these reviews anyways?

Horrible Service – My wife and I tried this place out 2 months ago and we were fairly happy with the food and atmosphere, but were somewhat irritated by the service. Our ticket was lost, then we were asked by three waiters who our server was! To be fair, it was Sunday (around 1:00 pm), so we expected a slow meal, but in all of the confusion it ended up taking about 2 hours eat a plate of eggs. I write this review because we went back again and had a similar experience. We sat down next to a couple that ordered exactly the sa... read more

Great for parties! – I originally planned a wedding shower at another restaurant in Dallas. However, due to a major issue with the afore mentioned place I decided to move our party to La Duni. Their attentive staff helped us plan everything for our afternoon tea party in 1 day! The chef called us back the same day, and helped my co-host pick out a menu for the guests. On the day of the shower, the table was gorgeous and set up in advance, all we had to do was show up. The staff took care of everything, and they were attentiv... read more

They take the siesta approach to service – Presentation and food are usually exceptional, my girlfriend who is extremely picky is always pleased with her food. Mine however, is a different story the chilaquiles I ordered were served in a giant soup bowl, and soup for brunch fell well short of expectations , the waitress was either extremely hungover or just apathetic, either way unacceptable, this mirrors the service I have received for the past three times, and this time was my LAST!!!!

Best Restaurant in DFW area period. – I cannot believe what people are typing about "La Duni". This restaurant is not only the best in food but also the best in customer service. The environment is great, the restaurant is spotless, entrees are the best in the metroplex, service is fast and all the staff is very friendly. If you want to try real gourmet latino food this is the best place to go, La Duni is 10 times better that gloria's and alll the "mexican" restaurants in the area together.

Best food anywhere! Worst service at Mckinney! – My family and I have been at both locations for years. Food is excellent without a doubt. Ambience is wonderful. Service, (at the Oaklawn location), excellent! At the McKinney location it's a whole different story. Our favorite is the Oaklawn location but occasionally we go to McKinney when we are in that area. And I will continue to go, simply because the food is excellent, but the service AND the management at that location is pretty bad. Nine times out of ten, the servers e... read more

Bad service – Brunch - Service was rude and food was mediocre. The servers acted as if we put them out for asking for service and the quality of food did not out way the rudeness..
