Italian flavor and romance mingle in Plymouth at this sophisticated, yet cozy spot. – In Short This dimly lit setting presents an elegant but comfortable first impression. La Bistecca features new variations on Italian classics. The filleto di manzo alla padellais made from low fat piedmontese beef, and other standouts include the torta di formaggio, which is flavored with fresh basil pesto, and the gamberi con asparago, featuring jumbo shrimp, asparagus and artichoke hearts.
What happened? – After years of enjoying the fine food and service at La Bistecca, I have to wonder what happened. All of the familiar faces are gone. They seem to have had a huge turnover in staff. The food is still pretty good, the prices are extremely high and the service is mediocre. Something is wrong.
brenda smelewski – it was the first time we had been there and it was mine and my husbands wedding anniversary when we went to la bisteccas, i was so impressed the food was so wonderful, the waitress was graet, the chef came out to greet us and he made us a surprize desert for our anniversary. we enjoyed everything, they made it so special for us and i will never forget it.
organic foods – Uses free range meats. It was such a good restaurant. Reservations are recommended, although they managed to get us in without one.
Not Really "Italian" – Darn good steak. I don't buy into the "only restaurant serving piemontese hype" but the steaks are good. There are just as good steaks to be found elsewhere at a more realistic price. An attractive looking place but it is not really an Italian restaurant. When was the last time this chef dined in Italy? In Italy, restaurants in this price range are absolutely incredible. Overall this is just O.K. Look elsewhere for a truly Italian dining experience.
THE BEST – The best Filets anywhere. The Piedmontese beef is awesome. The service is great too!! Was there with a group of 12. Service was unobtrusive and professional. Very comfortable setting. Beautiful decor.
Try it you'll like it!! – What a truly enjoyable dining experience. From start to finish, everything was first class. The Valet was friendly. The host was very cordial and accomodating. The server was efficient, knowledgeable and polite. The bus boy was attentive. The restaurant is beautiful and the food was fantastic. The best meal I have ever had outside of Mammas cooking. To top it off the entertainment was great too! I have been back 3 times now and it is very consistent.
Very Nice – I really liked La Bistecca and would recommend it. It is pricey but worth every penny. The service was worth the cost alone- but the steak is extremely tasty.
Excellent!! – We dine here often. Best steak ever, in our opinion. Excellent service. Great entertainment in the bar.
