Solid, authentic, Mexican food. My girlfriend likes the queso dip. It's not on the menu but if you ask they have it. Never had anything bad from here.

Same recipes for 30 years - Muy Bueno!!! – Looking for a good breakfast, we came across this place in citysearch and thought we'd give it a try. It was 9am on a Thursday and although it didn't look open, there was an open sign outside. We went in and felt like we traveled back in time to the seventies - candy in the front counter - menudo sold in bulk - and sweet abuelita waiting to assist. We ordered two breakfast to go and felt as though we were eating homemade food when we ate it. They had an assortment of currency from a... read more

Mmm, Que Yummy – i love whole in the wall mexican food. the adventure of finding one may sometimes be somewhat dangerous, but when your friend has already done the work for you there's little risk involved. that's how i eneded up at la abeja enjoying what had to be the most delicious mexican meal i've had in an incredibly long time. this place kicks any big chain restaurant right out of the sandbox, dominating with a family feel. seating is prompt, service is friendly and prices are low. i couldnt recommend this place more.

Like Homemade Mexican Food – You won't regret visiting la abeja. Their breakfasts are always great, especially the huevos rancheros and huevos a la mexicana. Try to go during off peak hours because it can get really busy there the weekend. Also, make sure that they are open when you decide to go because they do have a sort of awkward schedule.

Delicious food – This small family run resturant has the most delicious beef and pork dishes I have eaten. The platters come with generous portions of meat. The spanish rice is always light and tasty. The choice of two item plate allows for variety. Large variety of Burrito and breakfast dishes. Substitutions are allowed, I like to substitute rice for beans in my burrito. The owners treat you like a member of the family. Busy on Sundays but seating is easy on weekdays for breakfast or lunch.

Only in LA – ...would anyone think this is a deli. I hate to harp on the whole "to be or not to be a deli," because this place rocks, but it's not the place to go if you want deli food. But skip any Tex-Calexican chain to come here, and you'll never regret it.

Keep it on the hush – I was put on to this place by my now brother-in-law.. This place is the SPOT! The carne adobada is the bomb (it's marinated for a week?!??) I don't live in L.A. any more, but I'm giving this place love because I want it to still be there when I return.. But I don't want it to get too popular.. there would be lines down the street if people found out about this place (if it's not already happening)

best mexican in town – Without a doubt the best Mexican restaurant in L.A. The food is great and the service is great. If you don't like this place you don't like Mexican food. Just about everything on the menu is good. My favorite is the steak picado. It makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Restaurants like La Abeja are what give this city its character. A must try for all locals.

9.00 – Great family and friends eatery, after a rough night out. The family owned and operated resaurant is a small hole in the wall joint. Many locals come to have sunday breakfast so get there early if not it's well worth the wait for a table. Highly recommend the enchilldas verde.
