Dr Hort answered my questions concerning Haglands Deformity & bone spurs on my ankles after 2 visits. He prescribed an anti-inflammatory which helped when pain and swelling got bad. However, he wanted to do an open removal of part of my heels as well as the spurs and reattaching my achiles tendons. This would involve being non-weight bearing for weeks in a boot and cast on both sides..I found out there are other surgery options which would involve less invasive /arthroscopic procedures and less healing time. Dr. Hort and staff were very kind, efficient and got patients in and out.
Very rushed, didn’t listen to any of my concerns. Would never see this doctor again, just referred to just take some pain relief pills. Didn’t even see me unless I take a X-ray first. This doctor office looks like a workman’s comp doctor office where they bill insurance for high bills and no service or accountability for their patients.
I went to check my knee with in the Saint Augustine location and when I arrived Kurtis Hort showed up and said last minute he’s covering (originally scheduled with a different doctor) He talked fast, didn’t take his time and explained, didn’t ask if I have any questions and was done within 10 minutes. I did an MRI and was told I need a follow up visit, when I went he walked in for 2 minutes and referred me to another doctor.
