My 1st visit I forgot my diagnosis, but I had papers from my neurologist, who had already diagnosed me. He said he wouldn't accept them, and to go to a psychologist office which was closed. I went somewhere else and came back with my diagnosis, and he decided I had a different diagnosis, although we did the test and none of my answers were indicators. EXTREMLY UNPROFESSIONAL!! RUDE, DO NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS!!! STAFF IS UNRELIABLE!
On my third visit with Dr. Kulkarni he had no records on hand to reference my treatment. On the previous two visits he removed two medications which had successfully managed my depression for 20 years. With conditions worsening, he informed me he could not help me. Over the past three months under his care, his office phones went unanswered (or were endlessly busy) for days on end. I have just started seeing this Dr. I have never had someone listen, let me cry it out, and genuinely try to help me. I have been to numerous Drs. The reason I see ppl getting prescriptions often like some reviews say is because he is a MENTAL HEALTH DR, that is what they do! Only a psychiatrist can prescribe certain medications. So I highly recommend him. And to those who judge so quickly, get informed about mental health and what each type of therapist, psycologist, and psychiatrist do. Have been seeing Dr. Kulkarni for a couple of years. Only psych docotor that has helped me and listened. He’s very patient & kind, would definitely recommend. Office staff is also very nice & accommodating.
The office is no great shakes and it is a mess, but dr. Kulkarni actually listen to me and is treating my son with what he needs as a child with autism and ADHD like behaviors. He has been caring and concerned about making sure that the prescription amount of the two drugs prescribed was correct and he is cautious about going up on dosages. First visit to him. Prescribed my son a new medication but did not weigh him for dosage amount! Says I have to bring my son in every single month... I think this doc is a pill pusher! Office unorganized, files on floor, new office staff constantly! Lots of patients in and out really quick, all had scripts in hand.
Great doctor whom cares for his patients.
