I came to K&S with major intimacy problems due to complex childhood trauma which impacted my relationship with my young child who was at times violent with me. At the time, I was transitioning from working with a prior Black therapist who called my code switching “ghetto.” This was in a mixed race group with white Karens who regularly referred “playing the race card.” Needless to say I had trouble with trust. Before seeing Yeshiva, I really struggled with past traumas and really creating and accepting my own boundaries. With the assistance of Yeshiva, I have been able to really create long over due boundaries and live a more drama free life! Best decision I made for myself was to see Yeshiva and work on ME!
