had a very disappointing experience with Mount Carmel Health System, specifically with Kristen Wisler, APRN-CNP. I went in with severe mouth pain, difficulty eating, drinking, and even speaking. My condition was clearly serious, but I feel like it was not properly evaluated or treated. The medication I was given did not help at all, and my symptoms continued to get worse. Kristen Wisler may not know it, but she quite literally changed my life! As someone who struggled with my weight my entire life, but also lacked confidence to discuss it with any of my medical providers out of nervousness/fear, Kristen validated me, she recommended resources, treatment, encouraged my ideas and things I wanted to try (within reason), while still staying medically professional and reminding me of everything I could/should be controlling on my own. Dr Wisler took over for another doctor and I’m so happy she did. She makes you feel like she really cares, easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. She’s a great doctor! Been going there for about 7 years and don’t plan on changing 😊
Honestly, my experience with Kristen is one of the worst provider experiences I have ever had. Both my husband and myself saw her and we both had to switch. She continuously refused to order blood work, I had to order it myself and pay out of pocket with Quest. I then tried to switch to the MD at the practice and they told me I had to get “permission” from Kristen to switch providers. I switched hospital systems and I wish I would have done it sooner.
