Koyoi is definitely a hidden gem in Toronto and a must if you like Japanese izakaya food. The staff is very nice and place is beautiful in the summer. I rarely order the karaage, but with friends we decided to try it and ordered 10 and it was really good. The flavor and juiciness was perfect! Also, the curry fries are a must! It’s perfect with any cold drink—alcohol or not. I also like their drinks here because they mix their alcohol beverages with calpico which is so good! It’s sweet, smooth and tastes like candy.

Hidden gem. Low key atmosphere with a great Izakaya style menu and drink list. (House specialty is motsunabe. Min. order 2 people, limited quantities) Latest menu items include: basashi and grilled OR deep fried pork intestine (yum)
