The girl getting the referral from my insurance wasn’t sure how to do it. I called the number on my insurance card. Got them with no issues Was not impressed with Dr Wenland whatsoever. The PA didn’t know who to read the results of my MRA, told me I had a blood clot around my scapula. I said the MRA was of my kidneys not my shoulder blade. She could not read the terminology. Dr. Hendon and Tori are the cream of the crop! Dr.Newman transferred my care to Dr. Hendon about 14 years ago. She realized how rapidly my only kidney was deteriorating, and got me into the transplant program at Vandy. June 26 will be 12 years since I got a kidney, and I never had to do dialysis (thank God)! Tori has been working with me since a scare in 2022 when we feared rejection. I also had a scare last year, but some adjustments to my meds have done a great job.
