The food was average for restaurants of its caliber and price point. Steak was tender - yet no more tender than others of its class. Service at the bar was sub par. The service bar area was atrocious - complete mess, dirty glasses being delivered by the servers, could hear the staff arguing amongst one another - wine took 20 min to arrive.. disappointing.
I didn't like the char, however the tenderness and flavor of dry age beef blew this rancher away. The short rib was so tender, you can literally pull it off the bone by hand! The service was not a harassing service, but one of addressing your eating pleasure always at the right moment. I can't forget to mention the Fettuccine Bolognese was delicious with a spicy meat marinara sauce!
Great meal at Knife last night! John Tesar was in the house - always nice to see a local chef competing well on Top Chef!
My boyfriend and I are total foodies and we've followed John on top chef both times he has been on! So we had to go experience it for ourselves! Staff was friendly and amazing and food was absolutely delicious! And the atmosphere was perfect! I'm Definitely going again and definitely recommend you try it for yourself!
Always love going to Knife.....food is great, drinks are quite drinkable, atmosphere is perfect.....
